Many secondary classrooms in Cameroon face limitations in access to modern teaching tools, structured digital content, and continuous teacher professional development — affecting lesson delivery, engagement, and learning outcomes.

Foundation & Partnership Formation

NDX initiates strategic dialogue with the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC) to explore opportunities for strengthening Cameroon's digital education ecosystem. Early discussions focus on classroom digitisation, content access, and teacher capacity building.

2023

Ministerial Visit to NDX Regional Office — Dubai

Completed

Her Excellency Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga, Minister of Secondary Education of Cameroon, visited the NDX Regional Office in Dubai to explore solutions supporting the digital transformation of Cameroon's education system — covering classroom modernisation, digital learning resources, teacher capacity building and solutions for urban and remote regions.

2024

Distance Learning Centre (DLC) Upgrade

Completed

The Distance Learning Centre in Yaoundé is upgraded with interactive displays and recording infrastructure. Educators begin producing thousands of curriculum-aligned video lessons for national distribution.

Early 2025

Content Ecosystem Development

Completed

MicroCloud-based content distribution is integrated, enabling schools to access curriculum-aligned digital resources offline — particularly in low-connectivity regions.

Mid 2025

Intelligent Classroom Pilot Conception

Completed

Joint planning begins for the deployment of 252 intelligent classrooms. Frameworks are developed covering training, evaluation, sustainability, and national scalability.

October 2025

Commonwealth Delegation Visit

Completed

Master Trainer Workshop (25 trainers), national conference chaired by Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga, classroom observations with students using Interactive panels, delegation meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, and large-scale teacher training and certification (50+ teachers).

Late 2025

Teacher Training Acceleration (Phase 2)

In Progress

Master trainers coordinate regional sessions to prepare teachers for interactive teaching, MicroCloud integration, and intelligent classroom lesson design.

Early 2026

Deployment of 252 Intelligent Classrooms

Planned

Nationwide rollout of Interactive panels and MicroCloud units. Each school receives training, monitoring, and coaching support.

National Workshop with Minister & Inspectors

Completed

A high-level workshop with Her Excellency Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga, national inspectors and education leaders — focused on maximising the pedagogical use of Intelligent Classrooms, identifying current challenges, strengthening teacher readiness for technology integration, and preparing the national ecosystem for scalable digital learning.

A strategic meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute aligning the Intelligent Classroom initiative with national priorities — national digital education strategy, scaling intelligent classrooms across regions, and long-term sustainability and teacher capacity building.

Inauguration of the Intelligent Classroom — Yaoundé

Completed

Officially inaugurated in Yaoundé: a modular, self-sustained learning environment with capacity for 40–60 students, 60 solar panels for energy independence, integrated water and sanitation, an offline local network, Interactive panels, and MicroCloud-based local access to digital content — bridging the digital divide in underserved and remote areas.
