Jon McDermott

Jon is a senior executive in global education technology with more than twenty-five years of leadership experience delivering national-scale digital transformation across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. He is recognised for turning government reform ambitions into actionable, cost-effective programmes that modernise learning systems, strengthen workforce capability and create sustainable long-term outcomes.

Focusing on Developing Countries, Jon leads strategic market expansion, public–private partnerships and the design of digitally enabled education models for developing economies. His expertise spans curriculum-aligned digital ecosystems, intelligent classroom frameworks, content and platform localisation and national implementation planning.

Previously Vice President for Strategic Projects, at Promethean Ltd, Jon drove high-impact digital initiatives and expanded Promethean's footprint globally, with earlier leadership roles across the Middle East and Central Asia building channel ecosystems and delivering complex deployments. Before NDX he held leadership roles at Granada Learning, Firefox and Xerox, and has been recognised as a UK Department for Business and Trade Export Champion.

Jon is currently leading the development of advanced AI-powered teacher and student platforms designed to radically reduce workload, enhance instructional quality and elevate teacher productivity. He holds an MBA from the University of London and completed the executive training at Imperial College.

Hatem Radwan

Hatem is an education technology leader and strategic advisor with more than eighteen years of experience spanning teaching, educational leadership, government engagement and digital transformation initiatives across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. He bridges pedagogy with technology strategy, helping Ministries of Education implement scalable, future-focused learning ecosystems aligned to national priorities.

As Education Strategy Director for NDX and leads the positioning and strategic alignment of advanced education technologies for ministries and government agencies. His work focuses on integrating AI-powered solutions, digital learning ecosystems and intelligent classroom frameworks into national education strategies.

He has extensive experience supporting large-scale EdTech initiatives through solution engineering, pre-sales consultancy, RFP development, product demonstrations and educator enablement. Earlier, Hatem served as Educational Technology Consultant and Positive Education Coordinator at Al Ittihad Private School, and as Head of Biology Department at Dubai International School.

Hatem holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the Lebanese University and a Teaching Diploma in Educational Leadership from the Modern University for Business and Science. He is a Microsoft Certified Educator, Google Certified Educator Level 2 and Edmodo Certified Trainer.
